Bude Beach view

You do not need a complicated map to understand Bude’s beaches. Think of the area as town beaches, southern Widemouth Bay, and quieter northern/wilder options.

In town: Summerleaze and Crooklets

Summerleaze is the easiest central beach, close to Bude Sea Pool, the canal and town. Crooklets sits just north and has a strong surf and rock-pool feel.

These are the simplest beaches for first-time visitors.

South: Widemouth Bay

Widemouth Bay is south of Bude and works well for space, surf and bigger beach days. It is one of the natural choices if you are staying near the former Budemeadows area.

North: Sandymouth, Northcott Mouth and Duckpool

North of Bude, beaches feel wilder and more scenic. These are good for walking, dog-friendly planning and quieter coastal views, but tide and access matter more.
