A Great Site for the Family in
Beautiful North Cornwall
Our Cornish Touring Park caters for
Touring Caravans, Motorhomes, Campervans & Tents and is
situated in the rolling countryside of North Cornwall close to the
beaches and amenities of Bude and Widemouth Bay. Budemeadows
campsite is just a mile from the wide expanse of sand at Widemouth Bay,
which is a favourite for surfers all year round. The area's
key seaside town of Bude is just 3 miles to the North and remains
relatively unspoilt yet offers a range of holiday attractions and
facilities. Our gently sloping 9 acre park is arranged into
small groupings of pitches seperated by hedges or picket fencing.
Mature hedgerows and trees provide shelter for wildlife and
keep the worst of the wind at bay.
Locally there is an indoor leisure pool
and the famed sea pool at Summerleaze, Bude's main beach.
There is an 18 hole golf course and a wide range of outdoor activities
available within easy reach of the campsite including fishing, rock
climbing, pony treking and, of course, surfing and body bording on the
local beaches.
On site you will find a range of games and activities available such as table tennis and giant chess which are free for our guests to use.
We have a large well equipped play area with swings, slides and a zip wire as well as a couple of goals for a quick game of footy.
In our games room you will find pool, table football and a TV, and it serves as a place for the younger ones to meet up with their friends, new and old. Many of our guests return each year and some who once came with their parents are now returning with their own children to relive the holidays of their youth. In 2012 43% of our guests had either stayed with us before or had us recommended to them by friends.
A key attraction on site is our heated outdoor swimming pool (open Whitsun to late August) which is kept at a temperature of 28 degrees and is usually in use whatever the weather. Situated in a sunny enclosed grassy area there are sunloungers available and a seperate splash pool for the little ones.
Grumpy Pete's Bar is open from Whitsun
through to the end of the Summer holidays and serves a range of beers,
wines and spirits as well as tea and freshly ground coffee.
Often there will be freshly homebaked cakes available as well. Our bar
is family friendly and has a range of traditional bar games and board
games available fo use - rediscover the joys of monopoly with the
kids. WiFi is available in the bar, and across the site, and
there is also an internet PC available (small fee for both WiFi and
internet PC).
We have a small, but well stocked, shop on site, open in Mid and High season, which provides basic groceries, camping equipment, toys, wine, and beer. In High Season hot food is available mornings and evenings, ranging from a traditional breakfast fry-up to daily specials providing an alternative to Dad's burnt sausages from the barbeque.
We take pride in ensuring that our toilets and showers are kept clean at all times and hot water is free and plentiful.
Many of our visitors camp in North Cornwall because of the excellent beaches. The 4 main beaches around Bude are Widemouth Bay, Summerleaze, Crooklets and Sandymouth. All of them provide a wide expanse of sand and rockpools at low tide, and are patrolled by RNLI lifeguards during the summer months. Body boards and wetsuits can be bought cheaply or you can hire from one of the many local surf schools and shops or at the beachfront car parks.
